Welcome to Dosbarth Gwern. Working in Dosbarth Gwern are Mrs Bird, Mrs Morgan and Miss Hutchison. 

Dinners

Dinners can be paid online. Please see the menu options available on the school newsletter and displayed in the class window. 

Fruit

Your child can bring fruit in for break time. Please make sure it is in a suitable container marked with their name. Children are also welcome to bring a bottle of water again labelled with their name. If you are in year 3 then you can bring money for the tuck trolley. 

Reading

Your child will bring home sounds, flashcards or a reading book throughout the year. Please practise regularly at home and return the folder to school with a comment written in the book. Your child will be given a reading day (see the letter sent home). 

Homework

Homework tasks will be set for your child every fortnight through Teams.  The tasks set will be aimed at reinforcing work covered in class. 

PE

Your child’s PE day will be on a Tuesday. Please ensure they wear their kit to school, our sessions may take place outside so can they wear jogging bottoms/shorts, t-shirt and suitable footwear (trainers or daps).

Outdoor learning

We will have lots of opportunities to do fun learning and activities outdoors in all weathers make sure your child comes into school with a suitable coat.
