Maths

We have been working on multiplication and division sums on something called

an inverse operation. We know that 6 x 4 = 24 (and that 4 x 6 = 24.)

The inverse (opposite) of x is ÷.

So, I can work out that 24 ÷ 6 = 4 and… 24 ÷ 4 = 6.

Write the missing multiplication fact and the two inverse operations for the following.  An example is given.

5 x 4 = 20

4 x 5 = 20

20 ÷ 5 = 4

20 ÷ 4 = 5

7 x 3 = 21

7 x 2 = 14

5 x 10 = 50

8 x 4 = 32

Write two division facts for the following multiplications.

  1. 5 x 4 = 20     >>>>>  __________________    ________________

  1. 7 x 3 = 21     >>>>>  __________________    ________________

  1. 2 x 7 = 14     >>>>>  __________________    ________________

  1. 5 x 9 = 45     >>>>>  __________________    ________________

  1. 4 x 8 = 32     >>>>>  __________________    ________________

Enjoy your weekend 😊
