Croeso pawb i Dosbarth Derw! Welcome to Dosbarth Derw everyone! 

My name is Mr Pugsley and I am the teacher of Dosbarth Derw (Year 5/6) and the Deputy Headteacher here at Oaklands Primary School.

Welcome to our class page where you will find some useful information as well as updates about our learning journeys which will be updated throughout the year!  

Our classroom door will be open at 8.50am and our day ends at 3.10pm. 

Resources

Pupils will need a coat as we will be accessing the outdoors whenever possible. 

Pupils may bring a water bottle, labelled with their name and packed lunch if they are not having a school lunch.  

Lunch time

Pupils can bring a packed lunch or school dinners are available at a cost of £2.55 per day (£12.75 a week).  We would really appreciate your support in helping us by paying online for all dinners.  Please contact Mrs Archer in the office should you need more information about how to pay online.

Pupils are able to bring a fruit snack to school for break times. 

Home learning tasks

Home learning tasks will be set fortnightly and spelling words set weekly. Both of these will be accessed via Microsoft Teams on our class Teams page. If your child does not have access to a suitable device at home to access and complete the tasks please let me know ASAP. We would also encourage all pupils to improve their timetables knowledge by playing TTRockstars each week at home, as well as finding the time to read their reading books. 

PE

PE days will be on Tuesday and Friday. Pupils need to wear their PE kits to school. Pupils need to remove all jewellery and watches for these sessions and those with long hair need to tie it up. Please be mindful of wearing appropriate kit for outdoor PE lessons. 

Jewellery

Just a reminder that the school policy is a pair of studs and a watch and all other jewellery should be kept safely at home. Diolch!
