Maths
This week I would like you all to read the story, 'Spinderella' by Julia Donaldson.
The story is about a family of spiders who live in a school just like ours.
In the story Spinderella wants to learn to count. Practise counting around your home today, you could count how many cushions are on the sofa or spoons are in the draw, soft toys on your bed etc
Once you have had lots of practise counting draw a big spider and count a set of 8 legs.
You could try drawing two or three spiders with 8 legs then counting all the legs together.
Topic
Make a Spinderella splat spider. All you need is a kitchen or toilet roll and some paint. The spiders in the story are all colours so you can pick your favourite.
Fun Fact
Do you know what a baby spider is called?
A spiderling.
Spider fun
If you have time here are some extra activities you could try.
