Remember to access Oxford Tree

Below is a chart showing the rhyme for each letter. This will help with letter formation. Try and practise letter formation daily concentrating on the letters and words from your group. Remember there are lots for different ways to practise, e.g. pencils, pens, chalk, paint, sand, water.

Try making your own weighing scales using a coat hanger. Gather toys from around your home and guess which you think will be the heaviest / lightest. Did you guess right?

Draw, paint or chalk a whale. Make it as big as possible.

Discuss together what you think a whale looks, feels, smells, sounds like. Write all these words around the whale.

Parents. You could write these words for your child or you could write them together. Ask your child to tell you the initial letter sound to begin, then try sounding the word together. E.g. b i g  sounds big.
