I have also added a few red words. These are tricky words which you cannot sound out and blend. They are words you have to learn to read and spell.

Maths
The story I would like you to read this week is called, "The Snail and the Whale" by Julia Donaldson.
Discuss with your child how a whale weighs heavy and a snail weighs light. Collect objects you have at home and sort them into two categories, heavy and light.
Topic
Lets have fun with snail craft this afternoon. I have found some examples of snail craft we would experiment with if in school. Pick which ones you like and have a go.
